This fence weaving project was a part of SWISH Indy, a free three week cultural festival put on by the Arts Council of Indianapolis. SWISH Indy featured over 600 local artists who created public artwork during the 2021 N.C.A.A men’s basketball tournament.
This phrase, “I”m so happy to see you here” and concept is by local artist Danicia Monet. I, along with volunteers with the Arts Council of Indianapolis, cut strips from recycled billboards and installed the saying onto the fence.
